Go Go Power Rangers!

I did not have a new Power Rangers game on my Summer Game Fest Bingo sheet and judging from the theater’s enthusiastic reaction, nobody else did either. Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind from Digital Eclipse looks like it taps into all the goofy-ass action and comedy that made Power Rangers so cool back in the day and even now. Can’t wait to play when it comes to PC and consoles later this year.

Surely there’s a better way.

Chinese developers Game Science debuted a new trailer for its action RPG based on the classic novel Journey to the West — Black Myth: Wukong. While light on actual gameplay, the trailer did show the Monkey King pulling his iconic staff weapon out of his ear. I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to put those all the way in there. Black Myth: Wukong launches August 20th on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

“On a multi-national TV and movie streaming service there lived a hobbit.”

That’s not quite how J.R.R. Tolkien started The Hobbit, but that’ll be how it goes when hobbit life simulator Tales of The Shire arrives exclusively on mobile via Netflix. Netflix also announced a ton more games joining the service this month and beyond including several games based on Netflix shows, The Case of the Golden Idol, and Don’t Starve Together.

Hey Overwatch, can I copy your homework?

NetEase Games debuted a new trailer for Marvel Rivals during Sony’s State of Play. And while I know nobody can claim sole ownership over a 5v5 hero shooter, it’s getting really hard to ignore the Overwatch-ness of it all when all of the trailer’s action takes place in a techno-futuristic Japanese temple festooned with cherry blossoms. Maybe things will look different during the closed beta coming this July.
